Mobile Tyre Fitting & Wheel Alignment Bradford | SSK Mechanics

A flat tyre does not have to mean a recovery truck or a wasted afternoon. We bring the tyre, the fitting machine and the balancer to your home, your workplace or the roadside, fit it, balance the wheel and take the old one away.

Grip, pressure and alignment

Solve tyre wear and vibration at the source

A puncture is not always repairable, and a new tyre will not cure alignment or suspension wear. We separate damage, pressure, balance and geometry problems before recommending the job.

Mobile tyre fitting and eligible tread-area puncture repairs can be handled at your location. Persistent steering pull, uneven wear or vibration may need wheel alignment, balancing or a suspension check.

Choose by symptom

Match the tyre or wheel symptom

These signs narrow down the sensible first step. They are not a diagnosis: two faults can feel very similar from the driver’s seat.

A tyre is flat or losing pressure

A technician can check the injury location and tyre condition before deciding whether repair is permitted or replacement is safer.

Book puncture help

The car pulls or tyres wear unevenly

Incorrect alignment is common, but worn suspension parts should be ruled out before adjustment.

Book front alignment

The steering vibrates at speed

Wheel imbalance is a common cause when vibration appears within a speed range and is not tied to braking.

Check tyres without removing a wheel

Only make checks that your vehicle handbook permits, with the car safely parked, switched off and cool where relevant.

  1. When tyres are cold, compare pressures with the vehicle manufacturer’s label or handbook.
  2. Inspect the full visible circumference for cuts, bulges, exposed cords, objects and uneven wear.
  3. Check tread across the central three-quarters; UK cars and light vans require at least 1.6 mm around the entire circumference.

Mobile Tyre Fitting (Per Tyre)

We come to you with the tyre, fit it, balance the wheel and take the old one away. Give us the size from your existing sidewall, for example 205/55 R16, and we will confirm the tyre price before we set off.

Puncture Repair

A permanent internal plug-and-patch repair to British Standard, done at your address, which is far cheaper than a new tyre. Repairable only if the damage is in the central tread area and the tyre has not been run flat.

Wheel Alignment (Front / Tracking)

Sets the front wheels back to the manufacturer's angles. Book this if the car pulls to one side, the steering wheel is off-centre when driving straight, or your front tyres are wearing on one edge.

Workshop — collection available

4-Wheel Laser Alignment

Full four-wheel geometry set on laser alignment equipment at our garage, which is the only way to get it right on a car with adjustable rear suspension. Required after suspension or steering work, and after any windscreen or ADAS camera job.

Wheel Balancing (Per Wheel)

Rebalances a wheel and tyre so the assembly spins true. Book this if the steering wheel or the seat vibrates at a particular speed, typically somewhere between 50 and 70mph.

Locking Wheel Nut Removal (Key Lost)

Removes a locking wheel nut when the key is lost, broken or rounded off, and supplies a replacement nut. Worth doing before you need it, because a lost key blocks a puncture repair, brakes, tyres and even an MOT.

Tyre Pressure Sensor (TPMS) Service

Replaces or re-registers the tyre-pressure sensor in a wheel and clears the dashboard warning. A TPMS light that will not reset after inflating the tyres almost always means a dead sensor battery.

Mobile Alloy Wheel Repair (Per Wheel)

Kerb damage on an alloy repaired and refinished at your home or workplace, usually in around two hours per wheel. Cosmetic scuffs and light gouges only, not cracked or buckled wheels.

Tyres, Wheels & Alignment FAQs

Can every puncture be repaired?

No. Repair depends on the damage type, location, size, tyre condition and whether it has been driven while flat. Sidewall and shoulder damage commonly requires replacement.

What is the legal tyre tread depth for a car?

For cars and light vans in the UK it is 1.6 mm across the central three-quarters of the tread and around the entire circumference. Damage can still make a tyre unsafe even when tread is legal.

Will wheel alignment stop steering vibration?

Alignment mainly corrects wheel angles and uneven wear or pulling. Speed-related vibration is more often linked to balance, tyre or wheel damage, though inspection is needed.

Can SSK Mechanics do this at my home or workplace?

Many tyres, wheels & alignment jobs are mobile. Services needing a vehicle lift, controlled workshop equipment or high-voltage isolation are marked as workshop jobs; where available, SSK arranges collection and return.

What if I choose the wrong service?

If you cannot confidently match the symptom to a job, choose Find The Fault instead. The technician investigates the cause and explains the correct repair before parts are ordered, helping you avoid paying for a guessed part.
