Parts & Labour Warranty — SSK Mechanics Ltd

1. What is covered

SSK-sourced parts

When SSK Mechanics sources the parts for your repair or service, we provide a 12-month warranty covering both parts and labour from the date the work is completed. This means if the part fails or the work is defective within 12 months, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost to you.

Customer-supplied parts

If you supply your own parts, we provide a labour-only warranty for 3 months from the date of completion. This covers workmanship — if our installation was faulty, we will rectify it free of charge. We cannot warranty the part itself as we have no control over its quality, origin, or storage.

2. What is not covered

  • Normal wear and tear (brake pads wearing down through normal use, for example)
  • Damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, or modification after our work
  • Failures caused by a pre-existing fault that was not part of the original repair
  • Consumables that are expected to deplete through normal use (fluids, bulbs, wiper blades)
  • Damage caused by continued use of the vehicle after a warning was given (e.g. driving on a known fault)
  • Vehicles used for motorsport, track days, or commercial hire

3. How to make a warranty claim

Contact us by phone (01274 442192), email (bookings@sskmechanics.com), or WhatsApp with your booking reference and a description of the issue. We will arrange an inspection — usually at your location — within 3 working days.

If the issue is covered by warranty, we will repair or replace the faulty part at no charge. If the issue is not covered (e.g. a new unrelated fault), we will quote for the additional work before proceeding.

4. Warranty limitations

Our warranty is non-transferable — it applies only to the person who booked the original service. The warranty is voided if the vehicle is subsequently worked on by another party in a way that affects the components we fitted.

Our warranty does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. Parts quality

All parts sourced by SSK Mechanics are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or OE-equivalent quality from reputable suppliers including Bosch, Brembo, Pagid, TRW, LuK, Mann, and Mahle. We do not fit budget or pattern parts unless specifically requested and agreed.
