1. About us
SSK Mechanics Ltd (company number 16692484) is registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 528 Great Horton Road, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD7 3HG. In these terms, “SSK,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to SSK Mechanics Ltd. “You” and “your” refer to the customer booking or using our services.
2. Services
We provide mobile and workshop-based vehicle repair, servicing, diagnostics, recovery, bodywork, and vehicle scrapping services. Services are performed by our employed or contracted technicians at your location or our workshop, depending on the nature of the work.
3. Booking and confirmation
All bookings are made via our website, by phone (01274 442192), or WhatsApp. A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to decline any booking where we cannot safely or competently carry out the requested work.
By placing a booking, you confirm that you are the registered keeper of the vehicle or have the keeper’s authority to authorise the work.
4. Pricing and payment
All prices quoted on our website are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the prevailing rate. Quoted prices cover labour and consumables unless explicitly stated otherwise. Parts are quoted separately unless the service is a fixed-price package.
Payment is due on completion of work or as agreed at the time of booking. We accept payment by card (Stripe), PayPal, and bank transfer. We may send a payment link by email or SMS.
If additional work is discovered during a repair, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. We will not carry out and charge for any work that you have not authorised.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Our full cancellation policy is set out in our Cancellations & Refunds Policy. In summary: free cancellation more than 24 hours before your appointment if no parts have been ordered on your behalf.
6. Warranty
All work carries a warranty as described in our Parts & Labour Warranty Policy. In summary: 12-month warranty on parts and labour when we source the parts; labour-only warranty when you supply your own parts.
7. Your responsibilities
You must ensure safe access to the vehicle at the agreed location and time. The vehicle must be parked on a firm, level surface with adequate space for our technician to work safely. You are responsible for removing personal belongings from the vehicle before work begins.
If we cannot access the vehicle at the agreed time and location, and you have not given us at least 2 hours’ notice, a no-show charge may apply as set out in our Cancellations policy.
8. Limitation of liability
Our liability to you for any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the work carried out. We are not liable for any pre-existing faults, wear-and-tear items, or consequential losses (including loss of earnings, travel costs, or vehicle hire) except where caused by our negligence.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Data protection
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us by email at bookings@sskmechanics.com or by phone on 01274 442192. We aim to resolve complaints within 5 working days.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
