It started with a single phone call
In 2012, Shuaib was the brother everyone in the neighbourhood called when their car wouldn't start. Evenings and weekends, he'd grab his tools, drive over, and fix it on the driveway — no garage, no fuss, half the price.
Word travelled fast in Bradford. Soon one brother became three, each bringing a different strength: one a master diagnostician who could read a fault before the scanner did, one a bodywork and welding specialist, and one who could talk to anyone and keep the books straight. Skills that, combined, could rival any main dealer.
The side hustle had quietly become something bigger.
We took the workshop to the world
For years our growth was built on something money can't buy: a recommendation from a satisfied neighbour to a friend. But in 2020, as the world changed and people needed their cars fixed without leaving home more than ever, we came online.
We built a proper booking system, a fleet of fully-equipped vans, and a team of qualified, insured technicians. What hadn't changed was the promise: we come to you, we charge fairly, and we treat your car like it's our own.
Today SSK Mechanics Ltd is a registered company (Companies House 16692484) serving 60+ areas across Bradford and West Yorkshire — but we still answer the phone like it's that first call in 2012.
